Martin Jonik - Director
Martin is a founder member and Director of Techmodal. Martin has been working as a consultant in defence for over 10 years, during which he has acted as the subject matter expert and lead developer in the generation of complex inventory assessment, planning and management systems. Martin is particularly skilled in communicating complex problems in a clear and concise manner. Recently Martin has been working across a number of DE&S project teams, as well as within the Global Equipment Management (GEM) team in HQ Army and the Land Supply team within the Defence Support Group (DSG)

 
Oliver Houseman - Director
Oliver has 8 years of experience in professional services and academic research developing enterprise software for decision support solutions. He has a proven ability to build complex cost models for the aerospace and defence industry working as a consultant within Airbus UK and the UK Ministry of Defence. Oliver has a solid engineering background spanning the automotive, composite and aerospace industries at various levels of management and product design maturity. Oliver is an active Member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, the Association of Cost Engineers and the Royal Institute for Naval Architects.

 
Dave Evans - Director
David has a PhD in Production Economics from the University of the West of England. He is a founder of Techmodal and has over 10 years experience undertaking consultancy assignments within large high profile organisations in the public and private sector. He has developed software tools to support operational and strategic decisions for industries such as Aerospace, Defence, and Banking. David's role within the company is to lead the design and implementation of Techmodal's software tool delivery.


 
Peter Lovell - Principal Consultant 
Peter Lovell has 10 years' experience in defence, working primarily as a specialist costing consultant in the Land Environment. Peter has a detailed understanding of MOD processes for procurement and support specialising in meeting the stringent requirements of the MOD financial process. He is recognised by the MOD and by industry as an independent cost modelling expert, applying Systems Engineering principles to model design. Peter is seen as an independent validation and verification expert and regularly provides consultancy on model design. 

 
Dr. Matthew Wenham - Senior Consultant 
Matt has 30 years experience of software development and 20 years in data analysis, modelling and optimisation. Having gained a PhD in multivariate and Bayesian statistics applied to analytical microscope data, Matt went on to bring his skills to bear in fields as diverse as food retail, cash management and GIS. Matt entered the decision management field four years ago optimising waste collection rounds on behalf of local authorities. He now develops cost modelling and inventory planning solutions for the UK Ministry of Defence. Matt also regularly consults wherever his extensive data analysis and algorithmic experience may bring benefit. 
Tobias Brain - Senior Consultant
Tobias graduated from Aston University and has a background in Business Management and Systems Development. Tobias has previously worked in IT Service Management and the automotive industry and has implemented innovative solutions to resolve complex problems in a variety of projects and organisations. Tobias is currently engaged providing cost engineering support to a large Defence procurement programme within the UK.

 
Ceri Evans - Consultant 
Ceri has experience in the military, leisure, service, manufacturing and insurance sectors. Having graduated with a Mathematical Sciences degree and worked in insurance he has built up a good knowledge of financial analysis and cost modelling within a Management Accounting department. To further his development, he is also studying toward the CIMA Qualification. Ceri has a good understanding of MOD procurement and the particular methods and modelling used to meet the stringent requirements of the MOD financial processes.
Mark O'Grady - Junior Consultant 
Mark graduated in History from Swansea University and is currently studying toward the CIMA qualification to further his professional development. Mark joined Techmodal in May 2011 as a junior consultant and has been engaged in data analysis for the SLV, SAPMT and Single Source Pricing projects. He has previous experience of the financial services industry, specifically pension fund management acting as a stakeholder manager for key trustee financial decisions.
Tom Blackwell - Software Developer 
Tom has over 5 years’ experience in the insurance sector designing and developing C++ applications and has recently played a key part in delivering the Equipment Activity Costing Tool for Army HQ. His technical skillset covers various development technologies and languages, these include: C++, Java, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, Oracle Apex, HTML, XML, CSS, PHP and Javascript. He is currently engaged in the integration of activity and planning tools between Army HQ and DE&S.
George Williams - Analyst 
George has a BTEC National Diploma in Computing and has experience in developing software in ASP.net, SQL 2005 onwards, C#, HTML, CSS, Add-in Express and VBA. George has previously done work for both Public and Private Sector Organisations, delivering projects for companies such as South West Highways, Base Structures and Wowee Speakers. He is currently engaged on development work for DSTL and optimising Techmodal’s Adobe Flex dashboard tools.
